warranty and is not applicable to any specific
proceedings or insurance claims actions. It is not a substitute for a speed analysis by a
qualified traffic accident reconstructionist.
All new 2014 and later model year cars, light trucks, vans and SUVs sold
in the United States are equipped with an Event Data Recorder.
Many 2000 and later model year vehicles also have an EDR.
These devices can record vehicle speed, brake application, steering input and
much more in
the seconds preceding a crash.
